Boa Constrictor

Harder to breathe,
Never relieved.
Heart racing,
I fell prey to stress,
As it compresses the life out of me,
like a boa constrictor.

Sleep deprived,
Wide awake,
No matter the hour,
Anxiously awaiting,
the end of my fate,
When I lose the strength,
To keep fighting,
and become prey to stress,
my boa constrictor.

  1. I can so relate to this Rody, I hadn’t thought of stress as a living thing, but this hits the mark! Thanks for sharing.
